It’s easy to live well in Sønderborg – whether you want to live close to others or completely by yourself. We can accommodate around 800 students in attractive student apartments and halls of residence, and there are a large number of rental properties in the town at reasonable prices.

Plenty to do

You won’t be bored in Sønderborg. There’s a wide choice of clubs and associations here, offering all the leisure activities that the heart desires, as well as various networks specifically for young people. And the area has many exciting events and initiatives. You can see everything from poetry slams to outdoor concerts, traditional tilting at the ring and stand-up – and everything in between. There’s the student café at Alsion, the Youth Café, the Mølleparken concert venue or Mejeriet, which is home to a wide range of activities for young people. And of course there are plenty of shopping opportunities in the town centre and in the Borgen shopping centre, as well as a wealth of cafés and exciting shops in the pedestrian zone. Both Lille and Store Rådhusstræde have great nightlife, with the many pubs and nightclubs open till the early hours.
