The first ever Tilting-at-the-Ring Festival Youth Lunch was a great success, with 850 children from Sønderborg – both local residents and those from other towns. When you’re a student in a new place, there are many things you need to keep track of – not least your finances. Many of the shops in Sønderborg offer student discount, and you can also get housing benefit and a Youth Card to help you get around the municipality cheaply.

A Youth Card allows you to travel cheaply to and from your school or place of education.
You can get a Youth Card if you are:
- 16–19 years old
- A student in upper secondary education
- A student in higher education

Remember to bring your student ID with you whenever you go to e.g. a café, start a leisure activity or go to a museum. Many places offer student discount.
