Sønderborg has plenty of shops to satisfy the shopper in you – both on the pedestrian street or in the shopping centre.
Sønderborg Municipality’s business community is diverse and vibrant. The pedestrian street is full of attractive shops and cosy cafes and is located right next to the large shopping centre, Borgen. In Gråsten, you’ll find the Ulsnæs Centre and Torvet, in Augustenborg there are shops around Louise Augustas Plads, while Nordborg has its own pedestrian street. For larger purchases, go to Sønderborg’s Center Øst. And for nightlife, there are pubs and clubs on Lille and Store Rådhusgade in Sønderborg city centre.

When Jeppe Nedergaard started art school in Sønderborg seven years ago, he had never painted before. He had previously drawn and done graffiti, but painting was new to him. Today, he has found his style in contrasts and semi-abstract expression, and he makes a living from his art, which is primarily sold at Galleri Maxus101 in Augustenborg.
